Hello my name is Eileen Woodley
Every morning, I find joy in walking along the shore and watching the sun slowly rise. It starts my day on a positive 🎶 I’m adventurous at heart-whether it's traveling, exploring new places, swimming or simply enjoying the beauty of nature.
Even individuals who prioritize a healthy lifestyle can still be affected by liver disease, it's highlighting its important to listen to our bodies! My first warning signs were sudden swelling in my stomach, legs, and feet. An MRI confirmed that my liver was failing. I'm still in awe of how far technology has come, and the incredible impact living donations can have on people's lives.
After months of chemotherapy, I was accepted onto Yale’s Transplant Waiting List and later Mount Sinai's Transplant Waiting List.
As I continue to take things one step at a time while awaiting a liver transplant, I’m also actively searching for a living donor.
💚 A single act of kindness has the power to change a life! 💚
Finding a living liver donor would allow me to receive a transplant much sooner and would also free up a liver for someone else on the waiting list who does not have that option. One generous donor can help save 2 lives.
