My name is Francine and I’ve been diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 5. I’ve been a Pharmacy Technician for 30 years with a well known supermarket. I really enjoyed my job to the fullest and the team of professionals I was fortunate to call my family! Then, CKD showed up. My once perfect world came to a sudden halt. I had to take a 6 month leave of absence and start on dialysis immediately 3 days a week, 4 hours each time. The amount of frequent blood tests, Dr visits, scans, even hospitalization and a kidney biopsy , on top of feeling drained from all that, there’s no time in the day to really enjoy the things I used to. Getting a kidney transplant would greatly bring my life back to my normal world I once had! Please consider donating Your kidney to help your fellow citizen in need to be a more productive member of society and share the most precious gift of all - LIFE!!!
I’ve had CKD Stage 5 for just about 4 months. I’ve been on dialysis from diagnosis day. Going 3 days a week has really impacted my daily schedule. The day of dialysis, you come home completely exhausted where you have no energy to do anything but rest. The day after, you feel pretty good, and think you can do everything to try and catch up. But that comes with a limit too! Having this disease, you must follow a restricted diet. There’s a long list of things you can and cannot eat, even your favorites!! Your level of activity becomes limited as you deal with not only the fatigue, but also the pain from your kidneys that can become unbearable. Just taking the dog for a walk may become impossible.
A transplant to me would mean the world!! I would have a better outlook on life to know I have longer to live to enjoy my family and life itself!!
We only need 1 kidney, would you please consider becoming a “Living Donor “ to save the life of someone in need to survive this disease and live a long and healthy life. The process is easy and covered by insurance and the reward you will receive is “priceless “!!
