My name is Lena Sorensen. I have been in stage 4 renal failure for over 3 years now. I have a loving husband and 2 beautiful daughters before I got sick I was a cook at a nursing home and loved it. It is my passion to cook
I currently need to have open heart surgery in August to fix my mitral valve that was damaged due to dialysis
I have a long summer head of me but I have faith that I will make it through.
I would love to find a living donor to help me
I have been diagnosed with kidney failure for about 3 years now. I first started on PD dialysis and was getting it done at home every night for 9 hrs a night my house was transformed into a medical "clinic" with my living room being replaced with boxes of supplies for dialysis. Then at the begin of this year I found myself in the hospital and PD not working. So now I am on blood dialysis and I go to a center 3x a week for about 4 hrs a day.
So for me to have a transplant would totally give me new life. I have 2 daughters one is 20 and the other is 12. My 12 year old is constantly in the go and I don't want to miss anything she does. It would also help me physically as I can go back to work and do the thing I love to do
I am 52 year old women with a great husband and 2 great kids. If someone out there can help me get me life back on track and donate a kidney to me there are no words to say thank you. It would mean the world to me to get my life back and go back to work.
