LIVING Liver DONOR NEEDED

The fluctuating symptoms and deep concerns about future life pose an increased personal suffering -

Hello 👋 I'm Hannah and I have been diagnosed with end stage liver disease. A liver transplant is the only treatment option. My team of doctors believe I am a perfect candidate for a living donor. What is magical is that the liver regenerates itself.
"A living-donor liver transplant is a surgery in which a portion of the liver from a healthy living person is removed and placed into someone whose liver is no longer working properly.

The donor's remaining liver regrows and returns to its normal size, volume and capacity within a couple of months after the surgery. At the same time, the transplanted liver portion grows and restores normal liver function in the recipient."

A living-donor liver transplant is a surgery in which a portion of the liver from a healthy living person is removed and placed into someone whose liver is no longer working properly.

This procedure offers a life-saving option for the me and can significantly improve my quality of life.

I've had end stage liver disease for about 2 years and 8 months.
It impacts me in many ways especially because my symptoms fluctuate each day. I feel sad for being so young and worried about doing activities that could cause me to get hurt or that I might not have the energy to do it at all.
My thoughts about the future and realizing that the disease could lead to early death is difficult for me to process. I am experiencing the awareness and grief about the seriousness of the disease.
Some days are much better than others but tomorrow is always a new day.

A transplant would mean the world to me - even though I am scared - I can pretty much handle anything at this point.

Educate yourselves on living donation! A living donor transplant will shorten my wait for an organ. Transplant centers have better outcomes. Health information will be more accurate from a living donor. The surgery will be done at the same time - a planned appointment and nothing last minute. The outcome will be a better quality liver from a healthy living person. The probability of death after living donor liver transplant is much lower which makes it a much better option.

Those interested can register confidentially for a living donor evaluation call 1-866-925-3897 - give them my name and follow along from there. I believe there is also a link on this page that you can click if you're looking to get ahold of YNHH virtually.
