LIVING Kidney DONOR NEEDED

I need your help!

My name is Dan and I have been type1 diabetic since the Beatles appeared on EdSullivan’s show in 1964! I am a retired insurance underwriter who used to write hurricane insurance. I am a self-taught wood carver and whittler, carving Santas from the trunks of our old discarded Xmas trees. My kidneys have been slowly shutting down for the past few years. During that time I have felt tired, sluggish, and cold almost all the time. It has been very uncomfortable.

I’ve been diagnosed with kidney failure for a number of years but only recently has it reached level 5. My life revolves around a MWF schedule of dialysis days and the alternate days when I once again feel normal. The treatment isn’t so bad, my nurses are wonderful, but afterwords I feel totally drained and nauseous. Because I’m tied to dialysis I am unable to travel overnight to visit my grandchildren that live out of state. I miss them!

A transplant would mean no more restrictions and would allow me to travel again! It would also mean less worries for my wife and daughter who live with me.

I need your help: I am in need of a new kidney. My old ones have been slowly shutting down for the past few years and now I find myself on dialysis three times a week. I need a kidney donor so I can get back to living my life to the fullest. Please know that anyone interested can confidentially start the donation process by calling the number attached. Please share this story with as many people as possible to get the word out.
