Hello,
My name is Vince, and I'm reaching out with hope in my heart to ask for help finding a living kidney donor. For the past three years, I've been living with chronic kidney disease. Despite treatments and doing everything I can, my condition has continued to progress, and I now need a kidney transplant to survive and truly live again. This journey has taken a toll on my mind, body, and soul in ways that are hard to fully put into words.
Since November 2025, dialysis has become part of my life, along with frequent doctor visits, declining health, and a recent hospital stay after my port unexpectedly began bleeding. I currently have limited use of my left arm for the next several months while my AV fistula heals. All of this is happening while I continue to work to support myself and my family. Dialysis often leaves me exhausted and makes it difficult to enjoy the simple things I love, being outdoors, hunting, spending time with family and friends, working on and detailing cars, and just living everyday life. In addition to managing my own health, I am the primary caregiver for my 85-year-old father, who has significant health challenges of his own. He depends on me to help manage his daily needs and keep our household running. Being there for him is one of the most important roles in my life, and it breaks my heart knowing my health limits how much I can do.
I dream of the day I can have my life back. A successful kidney transplant would mean the chance to feel strong again, to spend more time outdoors, return fully to my car and boat detailing business, support my father the way he deserves, and most importantly, make memories with family and friends without constant worry about my health. I also hope to give back by educating others about kidney health and the life-saving impact of organ donation.
I am currently on the kidney transplant waiting list, but the wait for a deceased donor can take many years. A living donor transplant would dramatically improve my quality of life and my chances for a healthier future. It would allow me to keep working, enjoy the activities I love, care for my father, and truly be present for the people who matter most to me. If you are willing to consider being tested—or even just sharing my story with your friends, family, or community—I would be deeply grateful. You never know who might be the match that helps save my life. Thank you for taking the time to read this, for your kindness, and for helping spread hope.
I sincerely thank you,
Vince
